Recipe: Dressed up Mayonnaise

Basil and sun dried tomato, Jalapeno and Chili, or Garlic Aioli...these dressed up mayonnaise spreads are easy to make and spice up any sandwich!

Want a fast way to spice up a boring sandwich? Dressed up mayonnaise is an easy way to take a typical turkey sandwich to a whole new level. It’s amazing what a few quick, healthy ingredients will do toward making lunch special! These spreads are excellent for lunch buffets or party trays, or served with toasted bread and meats or cheeses as an appetizer. Choose from Basil and Sun Dried Tomato, Jalapeno and Chili, or Garlic Aioli. Or, make all three and let people choose which spread they’d like! An easy way to turn the ordinary into elegant.

To begin with, use a healthy, natural mayonnaise. Here’s a recipe for homemade mayonnaise using organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil and free range eggs, which is simple to make and tastes great! Once you’ve got your mayonnaise ready, chop the ingredients for the spreads and just  mix them into the mayonnaise. Let them sit at least a hour so that the flavors diffuse (or leave them in the fridge overnight) and then they’re ready to serve! Fast, easy, and a fun way to add interest to any sandwich.
