A sweet delicious dessert that’s good for your heart! Heart Healthy Fruit Crisp is a great way to make your heart and taste buds happy at the same time.
Serves: 12-14 servings
For the fruit
  • 2 cups organic blueberries
  • 2 cups organic blackberries
  • 3 organic apples, peeled and diced
  • 3 Tablespoons organic black chia seed
  • 3 Tablespoons organic honey (dark buckwheat honey is highest in antioxidants)
For the topping
  • 1½ cups organic oat flour (make your own by pulsing oats in a food processor...use gluten free if you're sensitive)
  • 1 cup organic rolled oats
  • 3 teaspoons ground organic cinnamon

  • 2 Tablespoons organic honey
  1. Preheat the oven to 35o degrees
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the fruit part of the dessert and stir well. Set them aside and let them sit while you make the topping.
  3. In a separate bowl, cut the oat flour, oats, and cinnamon together with the coconut oil. Drizzle the honey over the mixture and mix it in well.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture into a 9x15 inch baking dish, and then drop the crumbled topping mixture on top of the fruit. Cover the crisp with foil and bake for ½ hour, then remove the foil and bake another 15 minutes.
  5. Allow the crisp to cool for 5 minutes or so, then serve
