Thank Your Body Thursday #32

Welcome to Thank Your Body Thursday! It’s that time of the week where you link up your healthy-living posts!

Here are the most clicked posts from last week (Make sure you link your posts back to this post or you can’t be featured!):

1. Why you should avoid all products with this ingredient by Eat Play More… Love

2. Why I gave homemade deodorant a chance by Ware its Made From Scratch

3. Homemade Toothpaste by The Kitchen Rag

Great posts, guys! Thank you!

Don’t forget: You must link back to this post in order to be featured. I’ve had posts that had enough clicks for a feature, but no link back. Sadness ensued.

It’s time to share your posts!

Bloggers, use the linky tool on the bottom of this post to share your healthy living tips and posts. Non-bloggers, feel free to add a comment here with any ideas or thoughts you have to “thank” our bodies. Every week I will be featuring the most viewed posts so link-up your best ones. I will also be featuring my personal favorite posts on my facebook page throughout the week:

There are only 2 simple guidelines I’d like for you to follow:

1. Posts should be about healthy living. Keep in mind the mission of Thank Your Body. Some ideas:

Real food recipes
Exercise, yoga, and other fitness topics
Toxic-free living, all natural care products, healthy DIY, or other “green” tips
Homeopathic or other natural approaches to health and medicine
Inspirational or motivational posts on healthy living, etc.

Please NO:

Recipes using processed foods, refined sugar/flour, etc. (And we’re not real big on weight watchers, low-fat, calorie restrictive, or other “diet” foods here. Just real food.)
Product endorsements
Links to other blog carnivals
Extreme anything. (Health is about balance, not fads.)

2. Please link your posts back to THIS post. Linking back here helps build our little community by sending your readers to all of the other posts shared. If you don’t link back, your post will be deleted.

If you don’t not link back you cannot be featured!

That’s it!

Let’s get this party started!

NOTE: Due to an never-ending cesspool of spam, I have made the tough decision to close comments 14 days after the original posting of all posts. If you have a burning question or are looking for support in your journey to healthy living, please join the Thank Your Body Friends facebook page here.

I just found your blog last week, and I love it! Keep up the great work.

I hope it’s okay that I submitted two posts. If not, let me know! One is about my first trip to the local, organic farmer’s market for the season. The other is about how I’ve learned to bask in the sun, without the guilt. As a nature girl and holistic mom of two teenagers, two of my favorite things are nature immersion and really great food.

Thanks for the opportunity to share my work, and for putting all of this together. Have a happy, healthy day!

Part of having a healthy life is maintaining a healthy, real sense of self esteem, and that is a challenge in this frenetic society of ours. How successful you are starts, first, with how you define the word.

Hey. So I couldn’t figure out how to just post this in a general area, but I have been following this blog for a while. I am a early teen, with acne. I have been using oil cleansing and honey, and that seems to be preventing any new acne from apearing, but I can’t figure out how to get what I have to go away. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So many of us buy wheat bread thinking it’s healthier for us… and it turns out to be no different that the white bread next to it on the shelf. I shared a post on how to know if your wheat bread TRULY is healthy, because there’s a 75% chance that it’s not. I also shared a post on sourdough – the 101 class covering all the basics on this amazing and delicious bread.
